    I am a physical therapist. According to sensory integration theory
    propioceptive input helps a person feel more organized/calm. I have seen
    this when working with children. I also use the techniques I talk about in
    my videos for myself. A theory about why propioceptive input helps: it has
    a modulating influence over the other senses, at the level of the
    cerebellum, thalamus, and somatosensory cortex, decreaseing oversensitivity
    to everyday life experiences. Search sensory integration. Thanks
